Hello and welcome to our little family run business, Scents Amor. Here at Scents Amor, we aim to create hand poured luxury wax melts with the hope to help you create a relaxing ambience within your home or work space.

So a little insight of our story of how it all began!

I'm actually a Fully Qualified Level 3 Beautician, and have been for 17 years now! Yikes that sounds scary! I'm also a mam to two gorgeous, (not so little) girls, Ava-Mae, 13 and Lily-Rose, 10, who inspire me to go on these crazy journeys in life to try to provide them with the best life I can. 

 

So I started playing around with wax melts during lock down, when I was stopped from working for a long period of time. I like to be busy and I'm  always on the go, so sitting around  just wasn't for me! So I started looking for things to do to keep my mind occupied...I am a faf and LOVE arty things, colours, glitter, sticking and making, as a child under my bed was always full of tissue paper, pipe cleaners and googly eyes id attempt all of Neil's creations from art attack back in those days! Ha-ha! I soon got caught up creating lots of pretty colourful and sparkly designs in wax, and soon found myself becoming more obsessed in researching the science behind them, how it all worked and figuring out the best ways to achieve the best results.

I spent hours upon hours playing around, sometimes I'd accidently end up up all night as I was so involved in them and lost track of time, but so what?! I had no work to go to so why not have another glass of wine and play with glitter and wax all night hey!  I loved it!

 

I started giving my makes out to family, friends and clients to cheer people up during the hard times we all faced during lock down, posting little pick me ups to my close ones picked ME up massively! But then eventually, lock down finally came to an end, life slowly got back to normal, and back to work I went. I had less time to play around with wax!  A few years had passed and I started to find my friends asking what happened to my wax making, and asking me to make them more.  I soon realised I missed it...so I started to make little bits on a night and on my days off work, and soon got sucked in to the pretty world of wax again. I find it calming and relaxing, it takes me into a bubble of peace I enjoy it so much!

It didn't take me long to decide I wanted to make a real go of this, I wanted to be bigger and reach more people other than gifting to my close ones so I decided to make the jump and set off on a journey that I had no idea would spiral how it has!! So here I am today, sitting writing this for my very own little website! We have stockists that stock selections of our products in a fair few local villages now which is a dream come true! We are visiting  various markets over the rest of the year which is so exciting!

Most of all I've gained so many lovely loyal regular buyers already its crazy! Thankyou to each and everyone of you that has spoken to us at a market, or bought a product from us, it really means the world and you really are making dreams come true!
